Each year the University of Toronto International Health Program (UTIHP) provides $3 000 to fund a summer international health practical experience for five UofT undergraduate students. The purpose of the UTSU-UTIHP Summer Scholarship is to allow students to directly apply their classroom learning and skills in a field setting. Past projects include HIV clinic research in Namibia, infrastructure development in Kenya, and refugee health evaluation in Nairobi. The selection committee is open to any project involving a health issue and supervised by a U of T Faculty member.
